Over all, the action is too cryptic, and the pedestrian dialogue doesn't help.. This Dublin-set horror rehashes every haunted-house trick in the book.. The frustrating thing about Knowing is the story is worthy. But director Proyas tries to cram too much in, as if the tricks and effects wizardry are all that really counts. They aren't.. Well, there are some effective scares here, and you'll laugh at yourself afterward just for jumping and squealing like a little girl.
